Maintenance and Repair Coverage (M&R)

Classic Violins offers an optional M&R coverage of the rented instrument. M&R payments are combined with rental payments on the same quarterly/monthly basis. The M&R covers certain repairs to the instrument to keep it in proper playing condition, listed below.

The M&R coverage includes repairs such as: seating a pad, spring and screw adjustments, replacing corks, lubricating valves and slides, and fitting neck corks. Accidental damage to the mouthpiece or ligature included with instrument is covered upon presentation of the broken part.

The M&R coverage DOES NOT include: (a) replacement of expendable accessories such as reeds (b) lost neck straps, mouthpieces, ligatures, or caps (c) malicious damage, negligence (d) dents, (e) loss, theft, or mysterious disappearance of any single part of the instrument or outfit. Such determination as to negligence, malicious or willful damage will be made in our sole discretion, and shall be reasonably made based on our years of experience.
